We wanted you to hear it from us 1st. We are heartbroken to report that #RomanticallyChallenged has been cancelled... officially.

This was the saddest news I've had in quite a while.
But it's called to mind all the things this experience has taught me, and hopefully you as well. I've learned that Twitter can really be a fun place to be. I found out that people can get behind a cause that's fun and happy and something we wouldn't be ashamed of some time in the future.
I learned that there are some very down-to-earth people in Hollywood. People who appreciate their fans. People who weren't afraid to ask for a hand. I learned that there are some very good people who were more than willing to lend that hand to some very cool folks.
I feel as though I know Ricky Blitt, Kelly Stables, Josh Lawson, Kyle Bornheimer personally now. And I know I'm not alone when I say I have an interest in their future success. Like they're part of my family now. I hope that we can all remain friends on Twitter, just like we have been.
And thank you, Alyssa Milano, for showing me that there are people in show business who actually know and acknowledge what keeps people on top in that business. I know I'm one of maybe millions of guys on and off Twitter who've had a crush on you for longer than we need to remember :) You introduced us to your fellow cast members who held the same values as you, and for that we're all grateful.
No one is perfect. The suits at ABC just proved that to us all by making a mistake and prematurely shutting down what I fully believe would have evolved into the next great television comedy. The talent that was behind this show was just too great for it not to be.
Take a bow, Ms Milano, Ms Stables, Mr Lawson, Mr Bornheimer and Mr Blitt. Thanks for a lot of fun.

We Love Romantically Challenged cant believe that ABC have cancelled the show, that totally sucks :/ very very sad news. Alyssa, Kelly, Josh and Kyle are such an awesome and very talented cast. Ricky Blitt's just amazing and so funny! Everybodys Romantically Challenged, everyone can relate, im soo sad that its not going to be on anymore :'/ Romantically Challenged Twitter Army Rock's!!

ReplyDeleteI loved Romantically Challenged and I can't believe that ABC pulled the plug on it. They didn't even give it a chance. This has saddened a lot of people. The whole cast was just amazing. I have watched all of Alyssa's shows on Television and she is truly a very talented Actress, as well as the rest of the cast of Romantically Challenged. Lots of Hugs & Love go out to you all !!!

ReplyDeleteThat is very cool Lippy. It's a very sad day for the RC Army (cast, crew and fans). I feel sad and angry. I feel very sad for Alyssa, Kelly, Kyle, Josh and Ricky. They shared so much with us and made whole Romantically Challenged experience so much fun. I know their hearts are broken. I wish I could make it better.

ReplyDeleteI still can't believe they canceled such a brilliant show... and so soon at that... I hope another network picks up the show and finds the gold that exists in ABC's misguided cancellation. Through Twitter and the amazing open, engaging side which Alyssa, Kelly, Josh, Kyle, and Ricky showed us I not only found a side of myself that had gone dormant, I too felt that I got to know the cast and Ricky in a way that never otherwise would have been possible. The RCA rocks and I have made some great friends through it. I am not ready to give up.

Is ABC nuts? Romantically Challenged is one of the best shows out right now! How can ABC keep bad shows but get rid of the one good show they do have? This isn't right what else can we do there has to be something else we can not give up! Whose with me?

ReplyDeleteI agree ABC made a terrible mistake in canceling Romantically Challenged. This show would have been a hit I just know it. I hadn't been so excited about a sitcom since Friends and it makes me really sad that Romantically Challenged ended prematurely. Alyssa, kelly, Josh, and Kyle were amazing and hilarious together and Ricky made the show amazing and hilarious through his brilliant writing. I hope another network sees the value in Romantically Challenged and gives it the shot it deserves so that it can grow to be the show we all know it can be. I will truly miss Romantically Challenged and I love being part of the RCA on Twitter!! Romantically Challenged will never be forgotten and we will always be one big Romantically Challenged Twitter Family!!

Don't let this show die because some "suits" can't laugh at comedy and don't have the vision to realize that the show was going to get stronger with time, like all the other good shows out there.
I might be hollywood "dumb" but can't they see if another network would pick up the show, like NBC (the peacock) ...I just don't feel it's over...not that i'm trying to pump sunshine up anyone's butt ...however the sign of the peacock in Alyssa's front yard last week could actually be a sign of some kind...maybe NBC would be interested in it. Frankly I think ABC isn't thinking straight. I tried to call to leave them a message but it keeps hanging up on me.

You're right!! your letter made me cry...you have put in words things that so many people (included me) thinks about the Romantically Challenged people...it's amazing see what the internet can do...and, if they care (And I know they do) I just want to tell them that they did a very good job, and if ABC didn't appreciate it, we did it.

I was very saddened to hear this news when I logged on this evening. It's amazing how ABC can advertise the hell out of a new show and then not even give it a chance. Romantically Challenged would have fit in perfectly on the Wednesday night comedy block. I agree about taking it to another network. TV Land, Comedy Central, or NBC ( I agree about Alyssa's peacock!! ). There *is* a home for this great show out there somewhere!!
ReplyDeleteWords can't express how sad i am at this turn of events. Romantically Challenged is the best thing I've seen on TV in quite a while. ABC is just stupid plain and simple. I look forward to the future work from this brilliant cast.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the too few episodes we were given. The cast seemed to have a chemistry that would have only grown.
And I don't watch TV. At all. So the biggest comment I can give to the cast and crew is that I stumbled on to it while doing some rare channel surfing, watched, stayed, and tuned in again.

...and one of these days I'm gonna get Alyssa to reply to one of my tweets. I swear. I don't care if I need to put 3 more mortgages on my house and donate to her charity of choice. LOL. It's good to have goals. Right?
